Be.Thankful. {day twenty three}
I am thankful for the beauty of nature.
The thoughtfulness of the North Texas landscaper who planted PALM TREES!
The white sand that sifts through your toes like a colander.
The man-made lakes.
I am grateful for the sun that shines.
The rain that falls.
The snow that drizzles - rarely over North Texas.
The clouds that accumulate overhead.
I am thankful for remembering to look at the beauty all around.

"2"
My baby turns two today. I do not know where the last 729 days have disappeared. AND ... this is big ... she is potty trained. Yes, she has been potty trained since she was 21 months old. I did not have to do anything to accomplish this great FEAT. She did it on her own. No pullups. No little potties to clean out. No bribing. No begging. Nothing. I am so proud of her.
Happy 2nd Birthday, Petra!!
Minnie Mouse Birthday Party photos to follow...
Until then... here are some photos of the butterflies that the girls hatched from caterpillars:

tonbo~tonbo
everyday the girls want to go outside and look at the dragonfly. this dragonfly landed on our house about 18 days ago. and he hasn't moved. at all. i am beginning to get concerned. isn't he hungry? isn't he tired of hanging on the brick?
the littlest baby girl screams, "zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!"
"why, yes, he's still sleeping!"
by the way, how long do dragonflies sleep? for days?
could he be [shhhhh!] dead? is that possible? if he is dead, then why is he still stuck to the wall? what do they do, ooze glue when they die so they just stick to whatever? he would be cute in a glass case with a pin in him!
